   Mellie was the third child of Newton B. and Ellen (Baggett) Bloodsworth. She was born May 25, 1889 in Wallace, Escambia Co. Alabama and died December 03, 1960 Saraland, Mobile Co. Alabama at the age of 71. She is buried in Hanberry Cemetery in Wallace, Escambia Co. Alabama with her parents and other family members. 

 

   Mellie married 1) Charles "Charlie" Henry (1884-1929) on December 21, 1910 in Wallace, Escambia Co. Alabama at the age of 21. Mellie is listed on the 1910 census with her father Newton and siblings, but married 7 months later. Mellie's mother Ellen died Jan. 1910 in childbirth as did the baby girl Elin Bloodsworth. Charles Henry died in 1929. Charles and Mellie had 8 children together. Mellie married 2) George Pierson on September 29, 1945 in Baldwin Co. Alabama. As far as I know, no children came from this marriage.
